DO NOT LET YOUR TRIALS DISCOURAGE YOU

Hebrews 5:8-9 (GNB), Hebrews 2:10 (GNB), James 1:2-3 (GNB) But even though he was God’s Son, he earned through his sufferings to be obedient. When he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him, It was only right that God, who creates and preserves all things, should make Jesus perfect through suffering, in order to bring many children to share his glory.…My friends, consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way, for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure.

Our trials are not punishment from God and God does not allow us go through trials just because He feels we need to suffer a little. God allows us go through trials so that our faith would be tested and made better just like it happens to gold when it goes through fire (1Pet.1:7). Your faith is more precious to God than gold. God also allows us to go through trials in order to prepare and position us to fulfill His will and
purpose for our lives. Our trials are opportunities for us to learn how to yield ourselves to God and they are also channels through which God prepares us to be a blessing unto others.

Does it not amaze you that even Jesus the Son of God had to learn obedience by the things He went through? Just as He did, you and I also have to use the things that we are going through as an opportunity to learn how to obey and yield to God more. Apostle Paul’s sufferings were because of the kind of assignment that God gave to Him, (Acts 9:11-16).

You will also go through trying times because of the purpose and assignment God has for your life. One of Apostle Paul’s prayers was to be like Christ in His death, (Phil.3:10, GNB). He wanted to be as obedient
and yielded to God as Christ was, even as He died for us on the Cross. Just like Christ, the things that you go through equip you to save and strengthen the lives of others from various things. There are things that
God will allow you go through because they will position you and prepare you to be able to help and minister to people you will meet someday who may be going through such a situation. I see God using His
power, your compassion, wisdom and testimony, to greatly strengthen and heal the lives of many people through you.

Prayer Focus:
Thank God for how the things you are going through are preparing you to fulfill His purpose for your life and to be a blessing unto others.
