FOCUS ON THE BIGNESS OF GOD

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:” Isaiah 26:3-4 (KJV)

The more you focus on the problem of your life, the more you are depressed and the more you are discouraged. The more you look at the challenge instead of looking at God, the more you are emotionally battered, and the more you are likely to take a wrong decision. When we focus too much on something, the tendency is that it will be magnified in our eyes.

Whenever the challenges of life seem bigger, it is a betrayal of how far you are from God. It shows how far you have been from God. When the problems, difficulties, and challenges you are going through are overwhelming you, it is an indication that you are already far from God.

A young boy was with his father. They were going somewhere. The boy turned to his father and asked: “Daddy, how big is God?” Children can ask you some very serious questions. If you don’t ask for the wisdom of God, you will look stupid. The father looked, and after some time the wisdom of God came. As they were standing there an airplane flew over them. The father said to the son: “Look at that airplane, how big is it?” The boy answered: “It is very small”. The father said: That’s true! Truly it is small when it is up there” So they got into the car and the father deliberately drove through an airport. When they got to the airport area, he stopped. He pointed to the aircraft that was parked on the tarmac and asked the son: “How big is that aircraft?” “This is massive”. The boy said. His father replied: “That is how it is when you are far from God. God will look so small to you. But when you are closer to Him, you will see how big He is.”

The reason we are overwhelmed is that we are far from God and we assume that our problem is bigger than our God.
