TOPIC: Made for Excellence
BIBLE READING: Eccl. 7-9
TEXT: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them”. Gen.127
MESSAGE
Do you know your God is excellent and created you in His image for excellence in order for the world to see His excellence through you? That is why He specially made you with unique abilities and deposited power in you to fully manifest excellence. What then is Excellence? The word “Excellence is the quality of being extremely good. Whatever one does. It is being first rate, outstanding or ultimate in performance. In other words, it is being extraordinary in what you do. Matthew 516 says “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”.
To therefore achieve excellence, there are a number of things you need to do but we shall look at two today. Stay Connected To God And His Word: To stay connected to God, you must first connect to Him by being born again. This is the first platform for excellence for “…the righteous is more excellent than his neighbour” Prov.12:26
Then you must continually fellowship with Him via studying and obeying His word, and His Holy Spirit in you will live out excellence through you. Scripture says, “…we have this treasure in the earthen vessel that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us”. 1 Cor. 47″ “… For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” Phil.2:13.
Discover Your Talent And Develop Your Skill Therein:* Excellence is not about doing everything but in doing that particular thing which God has gifted you to do. So, discover your talent and develop your skill in it. You excel cheaply by it. I pray for you, your life shall exhibit excellence.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I activate the passion for excellence in me.
