Giving thanks, adoration and praise unto our God and Father for the numerous things He has done for us in Christ is supposed to be a major attribute we have. It is something that people should know us for. As a child of God, you do not need any other reason to thank, praise and worship God. If you really understand the kind of love God has shown you and the many wonderful things God has done for you in Christ, you will praise and thank God continually.

Praising God is not something we are supposed to do only in church or during our time of fellowship with God or when we feel like doing it. It is something we are supposed to do all the time and all day long. It is something our lives should be filled of!Psalms 71:8 says, “Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.” The Bible does not say we should give thanks sometimes and for some things. It says, “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,” (Eph. 5:20). We thank God for making the good things possible and also for providing solution and victory to overcome the negative ones.

The Holy Spirit can stir up joy and praise in your heart. In Colossians 1:11b-14, Apostle Paul prayed, “….May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.” As we grow in the revelation of all the wonderful things God has done for us in Christ, praise and thanksgiving becomes our lifestyle.

Action Point:
Fix your mind on the love of God and the wonderful things He has done for you in Christ and rejoice! Sing,
dance, shout, laugh!
