Pray for Glorious Encounter with God’s Light

Acts 9:3-6(NKJV), 2 Corinthians 4:6

As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven . Then he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? And he said who are You Lord? Then the Lord said, I am Jesus whom you are persecuting….” So he trembling and astonished, said, “Lord , what do You want me to do? For God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes, there are people and nations that may seem beyond our reach or may seem too far gone to ever be redeemed. God can reach them and transform them by His glorious light. This is why we must never give up praying for nations and believing God for their transformation. There are so many people, like Saul in our first text above, who may even be major threats to the lives of others and God’s Kingdom. God Himself can arrest them with His glorious light and grace. His light and love will transform their lives in an unbelievable way. From being major threat to the lives of others , they will become major vessels that God will use to bless the lives of others and advance His Kingdom on the earth. They will yield their influence to God as channels for God to save and bless the lives of others..

The glorious light of Christ can also shine on the hearts of false ministers of the gospel and those who have been deceiving and exploiting other believers. Many of such ministers are doing what they do out of ignorance. Their eyes need to be opened and their hearts needs to be transformed. God loves them and wants to use them for His glory. We must keep praying for such people also. God will help them to see Christ and be transformed from glory to glory into the image of Christ by His Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18). They will come to understand that Christ is everything. Christ is the wisdom and the power of God (1 Corinthians 1: 23- 24). They will continually teach and preach Christ (Acts 5: 42). Like Apollos, God will lead them to people who will explain to them the way of God (Christ) more accurately and through them, the lives of countless others will be blessed and helped (Acts 18:24 -28.).

Prayer Focus:
Pray for God to cause various leaders, ministers of the gospel and nations to encounter the glorious light of Christ and be transformed through it.
