REST IN WHAT HE HAS FINISHED

“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.” Psalms 37:7 KJV

The Lamb was slain since the foundation of the world, even before you were born. The Lamb is not about to be slain; He has been slain. This means that your issue had been taken care of before you arrived on the scene. So why are you bothered? You contributed nothing towards your arrival. God is the one that planned your arrival.  He predestined your birth through your parents. Your existence had been finished before the foundation of the world. You had nothing to do with it. So, rest!

Doctors usually say that most of the ailments that afflict people are related to lack of rest. You may ask, “Brother Mike, what is going to happen tomorrow? How am I going to pay school fees? Am I going to get married? Am I going to finish that building project?” I have one word for you: Rest! If He caused you to be born, then He has a plan for your life. The devil is too late in the day to put condemnation on you. He is too late. You have been accepted in the beloved. God called you His beloved.

“Brother Mike, what am I going to do so that my church will be filled?” Rest! That is all you need to do. “What should I do so that I can have a child of my own?” Rest! Why? Because I heard him say that the barren shall keep house and be a joyful mother of children (Psalm 113:9).

Rest in what He has finished. You know what the Bible says: “If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me” (John 12:32).  So, just rest and celebrate Him. Always remember that His Word concerning your life is settled. Believe it. It shall come to pass. You are blessed with the blessings of the earth and with the blessings of the deep.
