“Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it”.Jeremiah 1:12 KJV One of the strategies of the devil is to make you weary and feel that the word of God will not come to pass. Sometimes it looks as if God is too slow concerning His promise. Today, I have come to encourage you to hold on to His word. Our scripture for today says He will hasten His word to perform it.Let us look at the scripture for today in other translations: Jeremiah 1:12 (MSG) “And GOD said, “Good eyes! I’m sticking with you. I’ll make every word I give you come true.”

Jeremiah 1:12 (NKJV) “Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” Did you see that? Message Translation says God said, “I’m sticking with you”. Hallelujah. God does not abandon His own. He does not jump ship. He has confirmed that He will be with you. So, don’t lose hope; hold on to those sure words of prophecy. Hold them firm. Learn from Elizabeth and her husband, Elkannah. Imagine if when the child was delayed, he stopped serving God, would he have been in the temple when the angel came visiting and prophesied the birth of John? Now think of it, if John had come 50 years before Jesus, he would not have been relevant as the forerunner of Jesus.  So, when it looks like God is delayed in doing what He promised, understand that He is working something bigger and better out for you. Is there any prophecy you have discarded or put on the shelf; I demand that you pick it up again? Form a confession and declare it to yourself morning and evening until it comes to pass. The word of God is yea and Amen and forever, His words will come to pass. Further Reading: Jeremiah 1:4-19Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Gen. 43,45/ Evening- Matthew 12:24-50
